NFU response to the Sentencing Council consultation on Environmental Offences Guidelines
The NFU have responded to the consultation and support the proposed guidelines as a step in the right direction. The NFU feels the proposal will help sentencers be more consistent when dealing with environmental crime and we have stressed the importance of fines covering the cost of clean-up as a minimum.
