Separate to these requirements are the Oil Storage Regulations, which apply to the storage of more than 200 litres of oil for non-agricultural purposes. For example, if the oil is stored for a secondary farm business e.g. a haulage company these regulations apply.
If you are in the market to purchase any fuel storage equipment, you should check which regulations apply and whether the equipment satisfies the requirements. For example, double-skinned plastic tanks are not SSAFO compliant as bunding is required.
