If you have had an inspection during 2021, please let us know both your good and bad experiences so that we can feed back to the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).
The RPA changed its approach to cross compliance inspections in 2021. The main changes were:
- Before an inspection, the RPA sends you a list of the records it will check during the inspection.
- During an inspection, the inspector points you to relevant guidance if they think that could help you meet rules.
- The inspector may ask you detailed questions about how you’ve engaged with the rules. This will help the RPA identify where a penalty could be reduced.
