Freshly returned from the Paris climate talks, NFU chief adviser Dr Jonathan Scurlock will share his hopes for the future of land-based renewable energy at a special Christmas lecture in London.
Dr Scurlock will deliver the David Hall Memorial Lecture on December 16 at the University of Westminster.
In ‘Renewable energy, the global carbon cycle and UK agriculture - a personal perspective’ he will look back on a career in the sector, as it has shifted position form ‘alternative’ to undeniably mainstream – not least for the future of agriculture.
Dame Mary Archer DBE, president of The Solar Energy Society, provide the introduction to the evening.
Jonathan will speak in memory of mentor and Ph.D. supervisor Prof. David O. Hall, who died in 1999.
