NFU makes case for farming at HoC energy committee

_35964

Dr Scurlock, our chief renewable energy adviser, appeared alongside the Renewable Energy Association's Dr Nina Skorupska and Hugh Tucker of the UK Petroleum Industry Association.

In earlier written evidence to the committee's enquiry, the NFU acknowledged that UK renewable electricity production has continued to grow strongly in spite of a number of policy setbacks. But we added that present shortfalls in renewable heat and transport may have to be made up by renewable electricity delivering substantially more than forecast.
