Sit-astride ATVs are an essential tool for many famers to get to places other vehicles just can not reach.
To use ATVs safely, operators need to be trained, machines must be maintained and protective equipment, especially head protection, needs to be used every time an ATV is ridden.
To help better understand farmer thoughts and attitudes towards ATV riding and helmet wearing, researchers at the University of Aberdeen have launched an online survey.
The survey takes no more than 20 - 30 minutes to complete. It is anonymous and open to farmers, family members, workers and contractors – anyone who uses an ATV in a farm workplace setting.
