Join us for the launch of the Herefordshire Water Abstraction Group at 6.30pm on 6 July at Hereford Rowing Club and be part of a farmer-led approach to water.

With increasing pressure on water resources and growing regulation, this is an opportunity to understand what’s coming, hear from those already navigating the challenges, and explore how working collectively can strengthen our position.

Speakers include:

  • Mark Betson, NFU Water Resources Specialist - insights from his work with government, the Environment Agency and policy makers, and why Water Abstraction Groups are becoming essential.
  • Richard Blackwell, Water Resources West - the challenges facing abstractors and what they mean for Herefordshire
  • John Patrick, East Suffolk WAG - experience of setting up and running a successful group to support water resources on farm.

In conjunction with NFU, Herefordshire Rural Hub and Water Resources West.

Administration for this WAG will be led by Herefordshire Rural Hub, if you have any queries, you can contact them directly on 01432 268428 or email: [email protected]
