NFU policy asks from the new Environment Bill

NFU Yearbook 2019 to 2020

In July 2018 the government committed to publishing the first Environment Bill in 20 years.

Following on from the December 2018 publication of the draft clauses for the Environment (Principles and Governance) Bill and the July 2019 publication of an Environment Bill Policy Statement and responses to many recent government consultations, the NFU has produced an updated briefing on the upcoming Bill.

This briefing for members sets out the NFU's high level views on the anticipated Bill and also its views on the additional or emerging aspects that may find their way into the wider Bill, now expected in autumn 2019.
