Looking forward to seeing you at a show

Alongside all the political talking points, the best of the region’s livestock and farming produce will be taking centre stage at shows once again this year, with the usual programme of entertainment featuring everything from monster trucks to marching bands.

We would be delighted to see members on the NFU stand at any of the shows, where regional staff, group secretaries and representatives from NFU panel firms will be on hand to answer queries and offer advice.

Do come and join us for light refreshments and a chat – we look forward to welcoming you.

Royal Isle of Wight Show: 11 and 12 July, The Showground, nr Cowes

The NFU and NFU Mutual teams are again combining forces for the Royal Isle of Wight show. It's an important event in the Island's farming calendar and we look forward to seeing members.

11 July: NFU National Crops Board Chair Jamie Butler will be at the show to meet members.

12 July: Roundtable with Richard Quigley, MP for Isle of Wight West. Please come along and meet with Richard at the NFU stand if you would like to raise any matters with him. Time TBC.

New Forest Show: 28 to 30 July, The Showground, New Park, Brockenhurst

29 July: Officeholder update with NFU Vice-president, Robyn Munt, who will be addressing members at 1.30pm in the NFU marquee. We will be serving strawberries and cream and sparkling wine, all sourced from local members. The uplands and support schemes are among Robyn's policy briefs so do come along to to hear what developments there are.

Your local New Forest team and county adviser will be at the show for the three days, so if you are unable to make the update, please do come along for a cup of tea or coffee and meet the team.
