SFI27 – NFU seeks member feedback on approach to application windows

The NFU is seeking feedback from members on what they want SFI27 to deliver and alternative approaches to the application process.

Efra has launched a survey on the problems encountered while accessing SFI26 Window 2 – take part in the survey.

Alongside urging government to increase the budget to match farmers’ ambitions to deliver for the environment, the NFU wants government to address the unfairness in the current approach to SFI application windows.

We are exploring alternatives to the first come, first served approach and gathering feedback from members to inform our future engagement with Defra.

The deadline is Wednesday 21 October 2026.
