Forestry England is actively leading beaver reintroduction projects across the country and wish to apply for a licence to release beavers in the Derwent catchment. Join us at our upcoming meeting to discuss the project. 

Meet with Yorkshire Forest District Species Recovery Officer Cath Bashforth, and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Beaver Project Manager John Cave, who will outline the project and its objectives. NFU North Environment and Land Use Adviser Abigail Teward will attend to discuss the NFU's policy on species reintroduction. 

The meeting will take place at on Thursday 9 July, 4.30pm at Hovingham Village Hall, Main Street, Hovingham, York, YO62 4LF. 

Unfortunately the previously advertised meeting at Danby Hall has been cancelled.
