Species Reintroduction meetings - Beavers Forestry England

Forestry England is actively leading beaver reintroduction projects across the country and wish to apply for a licence to release beavers in the Derwent catchment. Join us at one of our meetings to discuss the project. 

Meet with Yorkshire Forest District Species Recovery Officer Cath Bashforth, and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Beaver Project Manager John Cave, who will outline the project and its objectives. NFU North Environment and Land Use Adviser Abigail Teward will attend to discuss the NFU's policy on species reintroduction. 

The meetings will take place on Thursday 9 July, as follows: 

2.30pm - Danby Village Hall, 1 Dale End, Danby, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO21 2JF

6.30pm - Hovingham Village Hall, Main Street, Hovingham, York, YO62 4LF
