Farming for bees - what farmers can do

Honey bee_275_217

Did you know the UK has around 267 species of bee?

The Campaign for the Farmed Environment, which is supported by the NFU, promotes a range of voluntary measures through which growers can offer food and shelter for pollinating insects.

There are three important actions that you can take to help pollinators:

  • Provide habitats and food for wild insect pollinators
  • Provide sites for honeybees
  • Take care when using insecticides

The NFU has produced a leaflet giving advice to farmers on farming for bees,
