NFU farmer and grower members are being urged to get involved in the Red Tractor consultation on how its standards should look across the six farming sectors.
In order to gather member feedback and share the main proposals which will affect the chicken, duck and turkey standards we have organised two meetings for NFU members to attend.
We will be joined by Sophie Elwes, Red Tractor Technical Manager for poultry who will be discussing the reasons why the standards review is taking place and specifically running through the proposals which affect the chicken, duck and turkey standards. There will also be plenty of time to ask questions.
We will use feedback from the sessions to help formulate the NFU’s response to the consultation and members are also encouraged to submit their own responses to the consultation here. The consultation closes on the 5 March 2021.
