2 Day Junior Tractor Driving Course: NFU Discount

The NFU is working in partnership with Myerscough College to offer this course which is designed to provide advice to the 13 to 16-year-old tractor operator on how to safely operate the modern agricultural tractor and related machinery.

Once the basic safety issues have been covered it is designed to be very practical and hands on, with plenty of opportunity to drive the machines.

All areas of the tractor are covered which include:

· Trailers

· Three-point linkage

· Power Take Off (restricted operation covered due to HSE guidelines).

The training is carried out between the College's Engineering Unit and the purpose-built machine operation area on the campus.

Although it is not an assessment-based course a certificate of attendance is given to all trainees upon completion which will satisfy HSE training requirements.
