NFU North Regional Director David Hall has become an honorary fellow of Myerscough College in recognition of his outstanding contribution to agriculture.

David, a former Myerscough student, was awarded his Honorary Fellowship by Principal Wes Johnson at the college’s graduation day on Thursday 10 July.

David’s career began at the Lancashire college as a Business lecturer, which developed into a project managing role in Myerscough’s Rural Business Centre.

He then worked in regional manager roles at European Farming and Food Partnerships and AHDB before joining the NFU as Regional Director in 2015. David is also a Governor at Myerscough.

An amazing day

David said: “I was deeply honoured to receive the Fellowship in recognition of the work that I do for a sector I care about so much. I have a long-standing relationship with Myerscough College and was pleased to accept the nomination. The graduation ceremony was an amazing day and I felt very privileged to hand certificates to the students that graduated that day.”
