The Landscape Recovery scheme will look at long-term large-scale land-use change.

Landscape Recovery (LR) is part of Defra's Environmental Land Management (ELM), along with Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) and Local Nature Recovery. It is in an early stage of development, and it will be 2024 before it is available.

LR aims to support large-scale land-use change for the long-term with funding from public and private sources, producing environmental and climate outcomes through habitat and ecosystem restoration.

Shortly, Defra will be inviting project applications for the first wave of the LR pilot. At this stage the full detail of the scheme will be shared.
