The NFU has welcomed the opportunity to be a supporter of the UK Soy Manifesto. The manifesto is an industry commitment to ensure all physical supplies to the UK are deforestation and conversion free by 2025.

- We must focus on mass market movement to verified deforestation, conversion-free soy and due diligence should be carried out at the point of import to ensure complete compliance and a smooth transition.
- Any additional costs must be recognised further up the supply chain.
- We must ensure that the same scrutiny is given to imported products with soy embedded within it.
