The deadline for applications in the third and final round of the Countryside Productivity Small Grants (CPSG) scheme is midday on 4 November 2020. Don't miss your chance to apply for funding for eligible items aimed at precision farming.
Several eligible items aimed at precision farming, such as a variable rate controller for fertiliser spreaders and a device for monitoring the flow rate of slurry, could help you to use nutrients more efficiently, saving input costs and limiting losses to air and water.
Similarly, eligible resource management equipment, such as a trailing shoe, dribble bar or shallow injection system for slurry application, can help increase nutrient efficiency, protect the crop, and reduce ammonia emissions.
If you are keen to keep track of ammonia emissions on farm, there is also a grant available for a portable ammonia analyser that records levels of the gas in livestock buildings.
