New CIWM training course on digestate quality

Anaerobic digester_12285

PAS110 and end of waste criteria are industry specifications to ensure the quality of digestate output from the AD plants. With BSI PAS110 accreditation, the digestate is classified as a product, not a waste, meaning it does not require the same permits, issued by the Environment Agency, to spread to land.

To sign onto the Introduction to PAS110 and End of Waste Criteria  training course, – go to CIWM’s website on the link attached or contact RWxhaW5lLk1pbGxzQGNpd20uY28udWs= or call 01604 823341

The course will provide training on how to:

  •  Identify the key features of PAS110, the AD quality protocol (ADQP) and SEPA positioning statement
  •  Understand how the certification scheme works
  • Implement a quality management system and the requirements of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP)
  • Keep the required records for compliance with all of the above

Overall, it will provide you with an understanding of the criteria for quality digestate output and the conditions under which it can be utilised as a product and not a waste material.

The course is relevant for both those who have an AD plant on their farm, or who accept anaerobic digestate to spread onto their land.
