Who should attend?

This tour is suitable for all sugar growers and people who work in the sugar industry.

Even if you have already attended a tour in previous years, we still encourage you to come along if you wish to learn more or refamiliarise yourself with the process.

What will be covered?

The tarehouse tours take growers behind the scenes in the tarehouse at Wissington Sugar Factory.

Growers can follow the journey of raw sugar beet samples as they are processed through the tarehouse, with expertise and insight offered by NFU Beet Reception Programme Manager Sarah Smith along the way.

Sarah will answer your questions and show you what happens to your sugar beet samples when they arrive at the tarehouse.
