Young sugar beet crop 2

Meet the three sugar beet growers who have been elected to the NFU Sugar Board to serve a 3-year term, starting in March 2027.

NFU Sugar is delighted to introduce the successful candidates who will be joining the board in March.

The NFU Sugar Board is the democratically-elected representative body of UK sugar beet growers, elected by growers, for growers.

Led by its elected chair, Kit Papworth, the Board sets the strategic direction of NFU Sugar and provides the grower mandate that enables the negotiation team to agree the annual sugar beet contract with British Sugar.

Nominations for three positions on the NFU Sugar Board closed on 22 October.

Following the nomination period, Simon Smith, Sam Godfrey and Jordan Allen have been elected to represent the interests of UK sugar beet growers on the NFU Sugar Board.
