Share your views

We are encouraging NFU members to share their views on the key priorities for technical improvements in fresh produce, as they set the direction for how the assurance scheme will evolve. The Fresh Produce TAC (Technical Advisory Committee) will be developing detailed recommendations to revise the standards and scheme in line with these objectives.

A streamlined and effective farm assurance landscape is one of the 10 building blocks for growing success in the NFU’s UK horticulture growth strategy, which sets out the key challenges and requirements for the sector.

NFU representatives continue to lobby for change on behalf of members. To reinforce this position, direct farmer and grower input to Red Tractor will help shape the future of farm assurance standards.

The opportunity to feedback closes on 1 February 2026
