Farm Vehicle Health Check Scheme

New tractor_183_275The integral safety of machinery and its safety in use are of paramount importance to farmers and operators.

The Farm Vehicle Health Check Scheme is a joint initiative by the NFU, NAAC and BAGMA. It provides information on how to select, use and maintain your machinery.

It is a Code of Practice which aims to assist operators to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations in a practical manner using a common set of forms.

    Comment: We work for a company who have a farm as part of their estate so we trying to ensure they are following best practice

    Comment: Can you please advise if a Tractor can have large balloon type tyres fitted and still be road legal. This activity is not Agriculture related but will be used to minimise the amount of land damage due to wet ground conditions.
