November NFU Council update
NFU Chief Poultry Adviser Aimee Mahony updated Council with the breaking news that Defra has announced that housing measures will be extended to the whole of England from 00.01hrs on 6 November 2025.
This comes after regional housing measures were introduced for northern and parts of central and eastern England on 30 October.
The measures apply to all keepers who have more than 50 birds, or those with fewer than 50 birds who sell or give eggs away.
