The NFU is hosting Farm Safety events up and down the country to help equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to stay safe on farm. Join an event near you and hear from expert speakers ranging from local police and emergency forces to haulage and trailer safety advisers.

Agriculture has a workplace injury rate almost four times higher than the UK all-industry average, accounting for around 19% of the reported fatal injuries each year.

With harvest season almost upon us many of our counties are putting on farm safety events to help you stay up to speed with all things safety during this year's harvest.

What can I expect?

The events will give you an opportunity to hear about transport safety and legislation, safe working around overhead lines, and trailer safety to name just a few topics.

These events can also provide an opportunity to engage with other members of the farming community and share ideas on ways to stay safe and compliant.

The events will give you an opportunity to hear about:

  • transport safety and legislation
  • safe working around overhead lines, trailer safety
  • machinery safety
  • chemical handling safety
  • mental wellbeing
  • livestock safety
  • fire safety
  • first aid
  • workshop safety

If you'd like to attend a meeting in person in your region, see our list of events below to find a meeting near you. We will continue to update this page as more dates are announced.
