Each morning workshop will cover essential health and safety topics. These will vary dependent on location but could include:
- Quad bike/ATV safety
- Emergency first aid
- Vehicle and driving licence rules and regulations
- Tyre safety
- Lone working
Fire service personnel and the police will be attending some of the events.
All participants receive a certificate of attendance and breakfast rolls and tea and coffee will be available
NFU Regional Policy Manager Charles Hesketh said: “It’s vital that we do everything we can do improve the industry’s poor safety record and these events are an effective way to highlight safer ways of working.
“These practical sessions offer clear guidance, demonstrations and expert insight to help keep everyone safe during the busiest time in the farming calendar. ”
