Chair Ian Harvey and Vice-chair Rob Davies said the Board reviewed eight key areas including animal health and welfare, environmental performance, labour and skills, disease management, and fair producer representation.
Trade, exports, and the industry’s reputation also formed a key part of discussions.
The Board welcomed strong member feedback gathered through a recent survey on dairy permitting, noting that the evidence will play an important role in upcoming consultations with Defra.
The Board also responded positively to the newly announced trade deal with the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), which removes tariffs on dairy products.
