Our campaigning on Inheritance, tax, post Brexit trade arrangements, input costs, regulation and climate change enable us to demonstrate the issues that deter and stop farmers and growers from investing in increasing their food production ability. Uncertainty both from government policy changes and geopolitical tensions over the last five years have accentuated the need to highlight the importance of food security.
Farmer and grower case studies provide examples of issues that reduce business confidence and threaten food production. The NFU uses every opportunity to highlight this in the media, to stakeholders and political audiences.
